I was having a serious computer problem, and had a technician from U.S.Techs come to my house to repair the computer. After he visited my house more than once, (and I had paid him a total of $120), he still had not repaired my computer. In fact, it was in worse shape after he left than before he started....prior to his help, I could at least access my floppy drive and start the computer in Safe Mode. After he left, the floppy did not work and C drive could not be accessed in any mode. What is more, he told me that my new hard drive was defective, and had to be sent back for replacement before he could do any more work on my system.Guess you could say at that time I felt rather helpless. Then, I heard a commercial for CompUSA on the radio.....$99.50, and they would fix your computer, no matter how many hours it took! Well, I had to try!
I went to CompUSA, they repaired the computer, charged me $99.50, and everything has worked since. They said that the floppy drive needed replaced (it had worked before the U.S.Tech gentleman had worked on it), but they not only got the system working without any other parts, they had no trouble with the new hard drive. In fact, the repairman actually laughed when I told him that the USTech guy had told me my hard drive was defective and had to be replaced!
Well, I am very happy to have a working computer. But I'm still quite upset with U.S.Techs for sending a technician who took my money, and wasted my time, and told me my hard drive was defective, and made the computer worse. I wrote several emails, and sent faxes, to U.S.Techs, explaining the situation, and they have never, not even once, responded to any of them.
If you choose to use U.S.Techs, please remember the experience I had with them.
